A Bustle Tea

In early February I went to a Bustle Era Tea...and I am finally getting around to posting about it!  I was excited because I love the bustle era, I love tea and there is just something so relaxing and nice about chatting with friends in costume while enjoying a nice leisurely tea.

You can see how excited I am...

Then after tea we went out to the courtyard to take pictures.  I forgot to charge my good digital camera so sadly all I had was my iphone which doesn't do well in bright, glary cloudy days so I'm afraid many of these are a bit washed out.  But believe me when I tell you it looked like an impressionist painting it was so lovely with all the pretty ladies in bright colors and the trees full of blossoms.

Towards the end it actually started to rain (in Southern California?!) and many of us were wearing silk, so we hastened inside and said our good-byes.

I wasn't able to make anything new since I'd had to help my sister with some health issues, so I got out my old Daniel Deronda archery ensemble and wore that.  I had a bit of a snafu with it as there were some last minute issues I'd forgotten about but I had fun and loved the tea, company and beautiful fashions of the other ladies.
